And a new blog? I’ve wanted to restart my blogging for the past year or so, but I didn’t manage to get past the big obstacle of choosing a name for it (which doesn’t have a squatted domain). I’ve recently found myself in need of some employment, which came as a sort of surprise, so I’m going to skip the struggle of naming and just put content right here for now. I want to share my views and my interests so that people can get to know me better. You are totally encouraged to comment about my articles to further my inspiration, or even contact me directly with ideas. I want to write about what you want to hear about. The best reads are written by the listeners, aren’t they?
What do I want to write about? I happen to be a huge nerd with a long history of writing code. I spend most of my time online and have written many odd things such as a 3D renderer for DOS in x86 assembly, a PCM mixer for the NES, games for very old hardware, plugins and modifications which blow people’s minds, and ... a side of practical software for the modern era. While I do have some professional work peppered in my lengthy years of history, programming is not my job – it’s what I like to do. I do have a rising need for financial stability, so my more recent projects have been oriented towards ideas with more business value than my other novelty projects.
It’s been an interesting adventure up to this point, very different from the usual. I’m grateful for all of the experiences that contrasted my online time. Currently I live out on the edge of nowhere in a neat rural home that I built myself with my dad. Suffice to say, I’d like to stay here for a while. If you’re looking to hire a solid remote programmer with a lot of free time, I’m your guy. Call me.
